Olivia Newton-John was a very positive woman through and through.

In its Aug. 29 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Newton-John tried her best to be positive even though it was a struggle because of her illness.

In fact, a source claimed that she was so positive to the point that she convinced herself that she could beat her cancer.

The Grease star battled the illness for three decades until she finally succumbed to it this month. But before she passed away, she also banned her family and friends from speaking negatively about her diagnosis.

“She literally banished all negative talk about her condition. She refused to believe the cancer was getting worse, right up until the end. Olivia vowed she wasn’t going to allow herself to be defeated by this disease and pursued every possible avenue to make sure she lived as long and as well as possible,” the source said.

The actress also, allegedly, tried a string of alternative treatments in the hopes that she could get fully cured. So, even though she was already feeling a bit weaker before her passing, she was still convinced that she would beat her cancer.

“Olivia believed she would somehow miraculously be saved. She literally envisioned that she was cancer-free and Olivia believed that at the very least, it brought her extra time on this earth,” the source said.

Meanwhile, Newton-John also made headlines this week amid rumors that she secretly held a torch for John Travolta until her dying day.

According to Globe, Newton-John has always had a crush on her co-star and Travolta also felt the same way about her. However, they never had the opportunity to act on their feelings for each other because they were always in a relationship with other people.

So, after Newton-John passed away, Travolta immediately paid tribute to her and for their years-long friendship. When the actress was still alive, she supported John throughout some of the most challenging times of his life.

When Travolta’s wife, Kelly Preston passed away, Newton-John offered him some words of encouragement and support. So, he is doing the same thing for Newton-John’s family.

But even if the two A-listers have always been close, this doesn’t prove that they had a crush on each other in the past.
