Queen Elizabeth allegedly broke down in tears out of frustration after she was forced to cancel her royal engagements.

According to Life & Style, the monarch wasn’t pleased with having to relinquish many of her duties. And if it were up to her, she would’ve continued with her work even at the age of 94.

“While she is usually very good at hiding her emotions, she’s so frustrated that she cried. She’s handing over her responsibilities to William and Kate, they’re happy to come to the rescue. They adore the queen and will do anything they can for her and for the monarchy,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that the queen has been having lengthy conversations with Middleton while they are isolating in their respective homes.

“She’s guiding William and Kate through her workload, including charity work, diary planning, crisis management, dealing with the press, and more. It’s basically a royal boot camp,” the source said.

Even though Prince William and Middleton have taken on more responsibilities, they haven’t complained at all. In fact, the royal couple allegedly doesn’t have any problem with cutting down on their couples time so that they could help the monarch.

“They brainstorm with the queen about modernizing the monarchy. William and Kate have been learning a lot for when they officially take on the crown – and if that happens sooner rather than later, they’re ready,” the source said.

However, rumors about the queen preparing Prince William and Middleton for their future roles have been rife throughout the past couple of years. But it is important to note that Prince William won’t become king immediately after his grandmother dies or abdicates.

Prince Charles would be king first before Prince William because this is what the order of succession dictates. As such, it is unlikely for the queen to already be training Prince William and Middleton this early on.

By the looks of it, the majority of Prince William and Middleton’s training will come from Prince Charles when he’s king.

However, it is true that Prince William and Middleton have taken on more responsibilities amid the coronavirus pandemic. They have also stepped up to the plate after Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s bombshell exit in January.

On top of their royal duties, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are also busy homeschooling Prince George and Princess Charlotte. They are all quarantining at Anmer Hall.
