Paris Jackson allegedly struggled to connect with her audience during her live performance in New York.

In its July 11 issue, National Enquirer claimed that Michael Jackson’s daughter looked as though she sleepwalked throughout her performance.

A source claimed that Paris connected more with her mic stand than her audience. And it seemed as though she was at an open mic and not an actual gig.

“Paris barely spoke to the crowd during breaks and had her eyes glued to her lyrics, which she clearly couldn’t remember. Who flies across the country to put on a show and doesn’t even know their own songs?” the source said.

The source also claimed that even though there were 250 guests at the venue, everyone gave Paris a lukewarm reception. After all, they were obviously unimpressed with her performance.

“The crowd politely clapped and cheered in an encouraging way, like how a parent would cheer on their kid at a high school show. And this wasn’t even like an actual rock concert. Everyone was expecting a lot more, to be honest,” the source said.

The insider also claimed that Paris’ friends and family are worried about her. After all, they know that she struggled with depression. And they are also aware that her taste in music is grunge.

“If she’s serious about grunge then let’s hope she’s more Courtney than Kurt Cobain because at least Courtney’s still around,” the source said.

In November, Paris also made headlines amid claims that she joined a bizarre cult. According to Globe, Paris’ grandmother, Katherine is worried about her granddaughter.

“Katherine fears Paris’ behavior is a cry for help and the heavily tattooed wild child is heading down the same dark path that claimed her father, Michael, who died from a 2009 drug overdose at age 50. The fear among the Jacksons is that Paris is always one step away from a major drama or, God forbid, something more sinister. You only have to look at those terrifying photos she posted to see that she’s in a dark and peculiar place right now,” the source said.

However, one should take the tabloid’s claims with a grain of salt. Katherine has never opened up about her alleged fears for her daughter. And it’s not also true that Paris failed to impress the 250 guests that saw her perform live in New York City.
