Queen Elizabeth was allegedly enraged at Prince Charles amid reports that he accepted millions of cash placed in bags years ago.

In its July 11 issue, Woman’s Day claimed that the cash in bags scandal is the last thing that Queen Elizabeth needs right now. After all, the other issues surrounding the royal family have not yet been resolved.

A source claimed that the monarch summoned Prince Charles into her office and lectured him in private.

“She has bitten her tongue over some of Charles’ more fanciful ideas and ways over the years, but she can’t believe he would be so stupid as to do this. The queen worries her eldest son has damaged his chance at a successful reign by accepting more than $4.5 million in euro bank notes, which was then deposited into his charitable foundation,” the source said.

The source also claimed that the monarch couldn’t believe Prince Charles’ lapse in judgment. And she’s also worried about leaving the monarchy with him when she passes away.

“After all she has done over the course of her entire life to build a beloved, trusted monarchy, the son she’s entrusting with inheriting it may well have messed it up for the lot of them. The queen is furious,” the source said.

As of late, the queen has not addressed the scandal involving Prince Charles. And it’s unclear if she ever.

But this also means that no one knows exactly how the monarch reacted to Prince Charles’ alleged cash-in-bags scandal.

However, a statement from Clarence House was released last week to deny any wrongdoing made by Prince Charles. In the statement, a spokesperson for the future king also said that the only difference with donation was that it was sent to them in cash.

“Charitable donations received from Sheikh bin Jassim were passed immediately to one of the prince’s charities, who carried out the appropriate governance and have assured us that all the correct processes were followed,” the statement read (via The Guardian).

But despite the denials, royal fans are still urging the British police to conduct an investigation into the matter. However, it’s unclear if an investigation would really take place or if the issue would be swept under the rug just like other royal family scandals.
