August Alsina released a new track that reportedly alludes to his “entanglement” with Jada Pinkett Smith. This comes amid the controversies surrounding the family, especially Will Smith, regarding the infamous “slap” incident at the Oscars.

Us Weekly said that the R&B artist sings “some s*** is bound to go down when there’s a billion dollars on the elevator” on his latest single, “Shake the World.” He, also, says, “some s*** is bound to go down when you tangled up with the world’s favorite.”

While there is no mention of names, many reportedly believe that the phrase “tangled up” is a reference to how Pinkett Smith deemed their relationship many years ago. Moreover, listeners are said to have assumed that the artist refers to the “Gotham” star when he says, “the world’s favorite.”

The public would recall that Jada Pinkett Smith confirmed the relationship with August Alsina in 2020. In an episode of her show, “Red Table Talk,” alongside Will Smith, she told him that she “got into a different kind of entanglement” with the artist.

The “Aladdin” star pushed his wife to clarify her statements, according to NBC News. The “Bad Moms” actress, then, stated, “it was a relationship, absolutely.”

Amid the live engagement with her husband, Pinkett Smith shared that she was “in a lot of pain” and “very broken” at the time. But, they both admitted that they were separated “indefinitely,” explaining what she felt during the link with Alsina.

Eventually, though, the Smith couple got back together and worked on their marriage. This led the actress to emphasize how “proud” she was of “how far they have come.”

The entire controversy began with August Alsina in a July 2020 interview. He told “Breakfast Club” host Angela Yee that he and Jada Pinkett Smith were “romantically involved,” adding that he had “literally never been in love” before the actress.

The artist continued that he gave himself “to that relationship for years of [his] life.” He, also, stated that he “truly” and “deeply” loves, and has “a ton of love for her.”

Meanwhile, Alsina releasing a track alluding to the infamous “entanglement” with Jada Pinkett Smith has already happened in the past. Weeks after the shocking revelation, as well as the addressing of the issue on the Smiths’ part, the artist dropped the song, “Entanglements.”

Some of the lyrics read, “the definition of entanglement is when you tangle in the sheets.” Also, “I know that we don’t call it a relationship but you’re still f***ing with me.”
