“Impractical Jokers” has returned for a special episode on Saturday. But, after the exit of Joe Gatto, fans and followers are seemingly curious to know how everyone is doing behind closed doors.

Cheat Sheet reported that the rest of the comedy troupe, James “Murray” Murray, Brian “Q” Quinn, and Sal “Sal” Vulcano recently released an update about their close friend. As noted, the three stars spoke with People about the matter ahead of the material’s return to small screens.

Sal opened up about how “tough” it was to lose Joe on the show. He, also, shared how things would go at first when they came back for the Season 9 special.

Vulcano continued that “it was tough to lose” Gatto after doing “Impractical Jokers” for almost ten years, adding that they have been friends for over three decades. He and the rest of the group “did not want to see him go, but [we] had to give him his space.”

In the end, the series star noted that they “miss” and “love” him. Moreover, they still talk to him “all the time.”

Q, then, shared that Joe is “our boy,” and they “love him” as he is their “guy.” But, it is just that “he wanted to leave, so what are you going to do?”

Despite no longer being together on “Impractical Jokers,” the quartet still spends some time together. They even had dinner before the return of the show, as per the stars.

Sal Vulcano said that Joe Gatto, James Murray, and Brian Quinn pulled a prank on him on the said night. He recalled when he went to the bathroom, his three pals ditched him with the $600 bill.

Murray chimed in and added that he had “never peeled out of a parking lot so fast in [his] life as he did that day.” Q consequently shared that he even asked Joe whether he would no longer say goodbye to Sal, to which he responded: “what are you talking about? Let’s get out of here! This is hysterical!”

Sal, later on, stated that he ran out to the parking lot to see whether the trio had, indeed, left. Upon reaching the lot, “all the cars were gone.”

Nevertheless, Vulcano noted that Murray paid him back. But, the same cannot be said for Q and Joe.

Joe Gatto announced his exit earlier in January. He penned a lengthy note on Instagram and let their fans know that he was leaving “Impractical Jokers” due to some personal issues.

In the same post, the star, also, revealed that he and his wife, Bessy, decided to “amicably part ways.” Hence, he intends to focus on being the “best father and co-parent” to their two children.
