Queen Elizabeth is allegedly the one struggling the most when it comes to Prince Andrew’s sexual abuse case.

In its Jan. 24 issue, OK! magazine claimed that the queen was forced to strip Prince Andrew of his military and royal titles. But this doesn’t mean that she already turned her back on her favorite son.

In fact, a source claimed that the queen has vowed to never desert the Duke of York regardless of the outcome of the lawsuit. But the monarch is trying her best to keep her support for Prince Andrew a secret.

“He’s already lost his reputation. His title is all he has left and she would never deprive him of that willingly,” the source said.

However, Prince Charles has allegedly been encouraging the queen to already cut ties with Prince Andrew because he’s a disgrace to the royal family.

“He finds the whole ordeal disgusting. The stress has been tremendous. But she will persevere, as she’s always done,” the source said.

Last week, reports that the queen stripped her son of his royal titles made headlines.

According to Daily Mail, the decision must have been very difficult for the queen.

“It's survival of the royal institution at all costs - and it always will be. It's probably over for him now that he has lost his royal patronages and will no longer use the title His Royal Highness. The time had come to push him further back out the limelight,” the source said.

Royal author Penny Junor said that it’s a huge embarrassment that even the retired serving military personnel were demanding for Prince Andrew’s titles to be removed. This becomes even more damaging for the queen, who is accused of protecting her son.

However, it’s not true that the queen has decided to cut ties with her son or that she chose her royal duty over her relationship with Prince Andrew.

As the monarch, it must have been very difficult for the queen to make the huge decision of stripping her son of his royal and military titles. But she just had to do this because regardless if he’s guilty or not, he’s still involved in a royal scandal that’s affected the British monarchy.

Now that Prince Andrew is regarded as an ordinary citizen, he can have his lawyers defend him in the court outside his ties to the royal family.
