Prince Andrew allegedly dug himself a deep hole following the alibis that he came up with shortly after Virginia Roberts Giuffre accused him of sexually abusing her.

During a 2019 interview with the BBC, Prince Andrew denied the allegations by saying that it’s impossible for him to have been with Giuffre at the time because he was with Princess Beatrice at a party.

On another occasion, Prince Andrew said that it’s unlikely for Giuffre’s accounts to be accurate because she claimed that they had a sweaty encounter when she was just 17 years old.

But the Duke of York claimed that he suffers from a condition that makes it impossible for him to sweat.

Globe, in its Jan. 24 issue, claimed that Prince Andrew’s alibi has finally caught up to him because he’s unable to find proof to support his claims.

“Andrew is in deep dung and he knows it. He’s been playing the deny, deny, deny game for years, but the trial demands evidence and Virginia’s side has all of it,” a source said.

Other reports also claimed that it’s only a matter of time before Prince Andrew would be called to the stand to detail his encounters with Giuffre. His lawyer’s request to be freed from the investigations was recently denied by the US courts.

According to the Business Insider, Prince Andrew’s legal battle will become a full-time job now that he has been stripped of all his military and royal titles. The Duke of York is no longer considered a senior working royal. Instead, he’s now regarded as an ordinary citizen.

Amber Melville-Brown, a legal expert, said that the dad of two will no longer be able to spend his time socializing with friends. Instead, he will regularly be meeting with his lawyers.

“While Prince Andrew might have fewer formal responsibilities today than yesterday, I would expect him to be taking on this litigation as his full-time job,” she said.

Prince Andrew continues to deny the allegations being thrown at him by Giuffre. And the palace still, technically, supports him. However, their decision to strip him of his military and royal titles suggests that it’s only a matter of time before the royal family detaches themselves from Sarah Ferguson’s ex-husband.

As of late, it’s still unclear if he’ll ever be charged with sexually abusing Giuffre.
