Prince Harry and Meghan Markle shared some personal details about their second born, Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Winsor, after her birth on June 4, 2021. This is said to be a new move because they don’t want to repeat the same experience after welcoming their first child, Archie Harrison.

Prince Harry and Markle reportedly don’t want to deal with the same drama they’ve encountered when they welcomed their son in 2019. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex didn’t share a lot of personal information about Archie at the time, and they were criticized by many.

However, the couple went in a different direction when their second child arrived. Shortly after Lilibet Diana was born, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex shared the news to everyone along with some important personal information about their newborn.

In an episode of Royally Us podcast, hosts Molly Mulshine and Joe Drake discussed why Prince Harry and Markle decided to do this and what may have influenced them. There could be a lot of contributing factors on why they chose to disclose private details this time around.

"We actually have the details of where the birth took place this time around. We didn't have that last time with Archie. It took a few months for that to come out,” Mulshine said, "Now we know it was Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital."

Drake, on the other hand, wondered whether the Sussexes did this because they are now on American soil. Prince Harry and Markle are currently residing in the United States after stepping down as senior members of the Royal Family in 2020.

"Here in America we can sort of getting that news,” he noted, “But before, when Archie was born, it was a little bit of a different story."

Mulshine believes that the couple does not want to deal with the drama this time around. Perhaps, they’ve grown tired of people complaining that they should know things about their kids. The host said that this move is “totally so smart.”

After Markle gave birth, the Archewell Foundation website the Sussexes welcomed their daughter, Lilibet “Lili” Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. She was born on Friday, June 4, 2021, at 11:40 AM in Santa Barbara Cottage Hospital in Santa Barbara, CA.

The statement also revealed that the child was named after her paternal great-grandmother, Queen Elizabeth II, and her late paternal grandmother, Princess Diana. The post ended with Prince Harry and Markle extending their gratitude to everyone for “warm wishes and prayers as they enjoy this special time as a family.”
