The legal battle Meghan Markle is facing against the Associated Press has been ongoing for almost two years now. The Duchess who filed a lawsuit against the DailyMail UK has found herself in the middle of unwanted attention from the Royal Palace.

According to sources inside Buckingham Palace, Royal advisors have concerns over Meghan Markle’s court appearance.

Fears over the privacy battle becoming public is the main source of apprehension from the Royal Firm, as this will be ‘deeply uncomfortable for the institution.’ Furthermore, a source revealed to The Sunday Times that the trial would be very traumatic to the Duke and Duchess of Sussex.

“A trial would be traumatic for Meghan and Harry. It will expose palace operations, members of staff would be dragged into it on the witness stands,” A source shared to the outlet.

Although the Palace has been silent regarding this issue for a majority of the time the news becomes public, this new allegation on the real opinion of the Royal Firm changes everything.

A big factor of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s decision to leave the Firm last year was largely due to media scrutiny and the unsupportive Family household they were part of.

Reports being raised that the Palace is well aware of Meghan Markle’s privacy battle can be a game-changer towards Markle’s opinion of the Monarchy.

Meghan Markle’s court appearance was supposed to start early this year, but the Duchess filed a request last year to move the court dates on confidential grounds. The request was granted, and the court dates have been moved up to early Autumn/Fall 2021.

Many have speculated that the said confidential reasons are due to Prince Harry and Meghan’s plans to be pregnant again, while others have pointed out that the duo is milking their royal status.

The two also, allegedly, sent a request to the Palace to extend their exit deal despite moving the review later this year as well.

Harry and Meghan recently launched their Archewell website for their new brand after their SussexRoyal brand was suspended. Their decision to unveil their newest commercial venture has also become a big player in their filed requests.

As of now, the royal pair still continue to reside in Santa Barbara, California, in an exclusive subdivision in Montecito. They are no longer working royals and have considered themselves as private citizens. They continue to be the patrons of the Queen’s Royal Foundation.
