Yet another celebrity has found love during the global coronavirus pandemic. This time, it is 27-year-old songstress Ariana Grande, who announced on Instagram that she is now engaged to real estate agent Dalton Gomez.

People reports that Grande showed off a diamond engagement ring on her Instagram account, as well as photos of herself cuddling with Gomez. The post currently has more than nine million likes, with comments at more than 140,000.

The publication quotes a source as saying that Grande and Gomez have been dating since the start of the year and have even isolated together during the lockdowns brought about by the global coronavirus pandemic. 

However, it was Page Six that confirmed the couple’s relationship back in March. Just a couple of months after the confirmation, Gomez made an appearance in the music video for Stuck with U. 

Grande then quickly made their relationship Instagram official back in June after posting a picture of herself cuddling with Gomez. The photo was just before Grande’s 27th birthday and now has more than four million likes.

Of course, Grande’s celebrity friends were happy at the news of her engagement, congratulating her in the comments section of her Instagram post. 

Her manager, Scooter Braun, called Grande and Gomez “amazing souls.” He called Gomez a lucky man and said he could not be happier for Grande. Meanwhile, Hailey Baldwin expressed her happiness for the newly engaged couple.

Grande and Gomez are far from being the only couple to get engaged during the ongoing global coronavirus pandemic. Twenty-one-year-old Brooklyn Beckham, the son of football player David Beckham and former Spice Girl Victoria Beckham, also got engaged to 25-year-old actress Nicola Peltz.

Because of the pandemic, it has been rumored that the marriage has been delayed. Even then, the couple has not been shy about showing their love online, recently posting steamy photos on their Instagram accounts.

In one post, Beckham and Peltz are about to kiss while dressed up as punks. In another earlier post on Beckham’s Instagram account, the two are seen in a bathtub, also about to kiss each other.

Beckham and Peltz are rumored to have their wedding in 2022, with a number of high profile guests expected to attend. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex are reportedly part of the guest list, as well as Elton John.

Elton John, Prince Harry, and Meghan Markle are all known to be close friends with Brooklyn’s parents, David, and Victoria Beckham.

Stranger Things star David Harbour and singer Lily Allen not only confirmed their engagement this year but also got married. The two tied the knot in Las Vegas with an Elvis impersonator officiating the ceremony.
