After months of speculation, Stranger Things star David Harbour and pop star Lily Allen have finally put engagement rumors to rest by getting married at a marriage chapel in Las Vegas.

Variety reports that the couple revealed their wedding on their respective Instagram accounts. The photo Harbour posted showed him and Allen along with the Elvis Presly impersonator who officiated their wedding.

As a caption for the image, Harbour described Allen as the “people’s princess” and himself as ‘devoted, low born, but kind.” The actor also referenced the ongoing fires in the state of California and the effect it has had on the surrounding states.

The wedding comes as a surprise to most people as the couple have never confirmed that the two of them are engaged. However, there have been long-running speculation that they are thanks to a number of incidents.

Speculation has been going on as far back as May after an Instagram post caught the attention of fans. In the photo, Allen not just showcased her abs but also a diamond ring on her left ring finger.

Allen was coy about confirming it when asked by a fan. Rather than giving a direct response, Allen paraphrased a line from the movie Fight Club, saying that the “first rule of engagement club” is not discussing it.

The couple also fueled speculation even further when they hosted an Instagram Live and Allen responded to a fan’s question about album sales by asking Harbour if he thinks he married a pop star.

While Allen quickly said that she and Harbour were not married, the actor called Allen his wife.

Entertainment Weekly reports that Allen and Harbour were first linked January of last year after being spotted together at the BAFTA Tea Party. They were then spotted again in August while Harbour was filming Black Widow

By October, Allen was also spotted in New York with Harbour after the actor’s stint hosting Saturday Night Live. It was also in October that the couple made their relationship official on social media after Harbour posted a photo of them at Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Aside from Harbour and Allen, another couple that was recently in the news because of their engagement was actress Nicola Peltz and Brooklyn Beckham, the son of David and Victoria Beckham.

Beckham announced their engagement on his Instagram account, calling Peltz his soulmate and describing himself as the luckiest man in the world. While the Beckham-Peltz nuptials are still a year away, it is rumored that one of the guests would be the royal couple, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.
