Lisa Kudrow revealed why the most popular show came to an end. Friends aired on television for over a decade and it’s still fans favorite after ending in 2004. In 2013, Kudrow interviewed with former co-star Matthew Perry in which disclosed how much she enjoyed working on the show.

Perry and Kurdrow discussed how lucky the entire cast was to work with each other. She agreed on how appreciative the cast was at that time. While Kudrow said that crew and cast enjoyed working on the series, there were people who felt it was the perfect time for the show to end.

Initially, the actress was looking forward to doing more episodes but Romy and Michele's High School Reunion actress told Television Academy Foundation that now she is glad that it ended. The 56-year-old actress revealed that it became difficult for the writers after a point of time to keep Rachel and Ross characters apart.

It had been already nine years and considering the rest of the cast members, some people in the creative team felt that they are "ready to move on and be done". On the other hand, there were people who felt that "No, you don’t leave until they ask you to leave. This is like a part-time job and we have so much fun together."

However, amid the difference of opinions, the executives eventually decided to do part of a season. Kudrow also mentioned how difficult it was to film the last few episodes of the popular television series. The shooting became so tough that her co-stars and she used to overcome with emotions and cry between the takes.

The actress also said that she avoids watching re-runs of Friends. One of the reasons is that she is not confident enough to watch her own performance, as per Entertainment Tonight. She revealed being afraid to watch her own show because she doesn't know how to react to seeing herself on the screen. The most entertaining character said that she might not like herself on the show.

There is another emotional reason to avoid watching re-runs. Kudrow told Jennifer Aniston during Actors in Actors chat show for Variety, the actress disclosed that she is hoping to watch re-runs with her former co-stars. In conversation with Aniston, Kudrow said that working on Friends was extremely easy as the cast got along pretty well and it was a pleasant experience overall.
