Colman Domingo has been featuring in Fear the Walking Dead for the last six seasons. However, the 51-year-old actor had created an impact on his viewers with Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom and Euphoria. The actor reflected on his career and said that he always thought about upgrading his performance when it comes to working on different roles.

Domingo admitted that his work has been increased and noticed by a large number of people over the years. Although Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom turned out to be a path-breaking performance as he received critical acclaim for his portrayal of Cutler on-screen.

The movie premiered on Netflix while it is directed by George C. Wolfe, and Denzel Washington serves as an executive producer. The actor portrayed a character of a background musician, who was hired to work with Ma Rainey, played by Viola Davis.

This film is special in many ways, but fans are going to remember this film as Chadwick Boseman's last project as he appeared in the movie as one of the fellow musicians. The actor shed light on his character, Cutler, and said that he portrayed an important role, which negotiates between the band members and the record producers.

The character is the only person who completely understands the legendary musician, and that makes him close to her. Eventually, his character gets in trouble by both ends, but he ensures that everyone gets paid and the records are produced while everyone has a voice.

"I wanted to be in the room with all these artists who are at the top of their game and who are committed. And not only to films like this but to social justice they’re committed to the incredible, impactful representation of Black life," he added.

On the other hand, Euphoria's first season had garnered a lot of praise from the viewers. In fact, the second season of the HBO series was signed before the first season came to an end. Moreover, the teen drama returned with special and new episodes, which were shot during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Domingo gave entire credit to Zendaya, who portrayed Rue Bennett's character in the first season. While creator Sam Levinson highlighted the teen lifestyle in the United States, Domingo's character brought balance and levity in Zendaya's performance.

The actor portrayed Ali's character in the teen drama, who becomes Bennett's Narcotics Anonymous sponsor. Throughout the first season, the actor tries to keep Bennett aware of Jules' character, played by Hunter Schafer.
