Two Hollywood veterans, Ben Affleck and George Clooney, are all set to collaborate with each other. While Clooney will appear on the screen for The Tender Bar: A Memoir is not confirmed yet, although he will be helming the movie.

The feature film is based on J.R. Moehringer’s coming-of-age story, and it will be filmed for Amazon Studios. The duo had worked together in the past as producers for Argo, and they won an Academy Award for best picture, including Grant Heslov, which is the 59-year-old actor's producing partner.

Heslov and Clooney are collaborating on the upcoming project under their Smokehouse Pictures banner and Ted Hope. Although the project was supposed to start in July due to an ongoing coronavirus pandemic, the project has been delayed.

The adaption is penned by Academy Award winner William Monahan. The 60-year-old screenwriter had garnered the award for best screenplay for The Departed. The book was originally published in 2005, which revolves around the author who is searching for a replacement for his dad.

The author's father is a New York City disc jockey, and he vanished when the author was a toddler. However, the author couldn't hear his father on the radio anymore. The young boy goes to the bar counter, where he meets a new circle of friends.
