It’s been a year since the college admissions bribery scandal broke out in the news, but Olivia Jade, Lori Loughlin’s daughter and one of the scheme’s beneficiaries, has been silent on the matter. Now, she’s sharing her thoughts for the first time.

Page Six reports that the 21-year-old YouTuber is set to share her side of the story on the Facebook Watch show, Red Table Talk. The episode was promoted on the show’s Instagram account.

In the Instagram video, Olivia Jade can be heard describing the show as something safe and one that she has been watching regularly. She also said that the show felt like a good venue to share her story and have an open conversation.

People adds that one of the show’s hosts, Jada Pinkett Smith, also shared the same video on her Instagram account. In the tweet, Pinkett Smith described the scandal Olivia Jade’s parents were involved in as “one of the biggest school bribery scandals.”

Pinket Smith said the decision to talk was prompted by the fact that both of Jade’s parents, actress Lori Loughlin and designer Mossimo Gianulli, are now serving prison terms for their participation in the scheme.

The bribery scandal Loughlin and Gianulli were part of involved making it look like Olivia Jade and her sister Isabella Rose were recruits to the University of Southern California crew team. Her parents paid Rick Singer, the scam’s mastermind, $500,000 to make it happen.

For most of the trial, Loughlin and Gianulli maintained their innocence until they accepted a plea deal back in August, with Loughlin being sentenced to two months in jail and Gianulli five months. Loughlin also had to pay a $150,000 fine and perform 150 hours of community service, while Gianulli paid $250,000 and will have to perform 250 hours of community service.

Olivia Jade’s guesting on Red Table Talk is sure to draw viewers, which the Facebook Watch show has been managing to do over the past few months. Back in July, it was able to draw 15 million views in 24 hours with an episode featuring husband and wife Will Smith and Jada Pinkett Smith.

The episode came about as a way for the couple to clear the air after singer August Alsina made the bombshell revelation that he and Pinkett Smith had a relationship while the latter was still married to Will Smith.

In the episode, Pinkett Smith admitted to the “entanglement” with the 27-year-old Alsina and said it happened when she and Will were in a rough patch in their marriage and temporarily separated.
