Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have slipped into normal life after being part of the British Royal Family for over two years. The pair, who are now based in California, will be undergoing a review from senior royals in March 2021.

The implications of the review may see to the couple getting their ‘HRH’ titles fully removed. In January 2020, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, also known as the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, announced that they were planning to step down as senior royals.

In a bid to have control over the royal pair’s wreckage, royal seniors Queen Elizabeth, Prince Charles, Prince William, together with Prince Harry, called on the Sandringham Summit.

Royal expert and author Robert Lacey weigh on the repercussions Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will most likely meet in the second summit meeting.

Lacey believes that the 12-month grace period given by the Queen to the royal pair for their commercial venture will likely cost them their ‘HRH’ title.

"The way it is presented at the moment is that they are HRH, but they choose not to use it. It doesn't say that they are banned from using it,” Lacey comments.

But the author believes that the Queen will allow her grandson and his wife to carry on living with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex title.

The removal of the ‘HRH’ title from the pair will mean their complete separation from the royal firm. They will no longer have the protection of the Queen, nor will they be associated with official events held by the Palace.

Dr. Anna Whitelook, the royal historian, also shared her thoughts on Sussex’s ‘HRH’ titles, sharing to Mirror UK that it could be possible the royal pair already gave their ‘HRH’ titles in secret.

She pointed out that the biggest indicator of the complete departure of Prince Harry and Meghan from the monarchy is Harry’s role of Captain-General of the Royal Marines being offered to his older brother, Prince William.

This has also undoubtedly become one of the reasons why rumors of the feud between the brothers continue to flourish.

Prince Harry’s honorable titles he earned from the military have not been removed from him, but titles given by the Queen such as the aforementioned have been suspended for the Prince to use.

It is clear that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will no longer go back as working royals, and in order to protect the Queen’s name and that of the Royal Family, their ‘HRH’ titles will be stripped off from the most likely.
