It seems that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are further distancing themselves from the royal family. According to the Daily Mail, the two have done something that will not make the Palace happy.

Apparently, they have allowed themselves to be interviewed for a biography that will be written about them. The biography will have the title 'Thoroughly Modern Royals: The Real World of Meghan and Harry' and it is apparently written by two journalists who have already worked with Meghan in the past. They are Carolyn Durand, who writes for Elle and Omid Scobie, who writes for Harper's Bazaar. Scobie is also a correspondent for 'Good Morning America', which is coincidentally the first show that Meghan had an interview with after leaving the royal family and moving to the US. Both journalists were able to attend a private event of Meghan's before the infamous 'Megxit', according to Vanity Fair

Being a good relationship with the Duke and Duchess of Sussex has its perks as they allowed the two journalists to interview them for their book. The interview was done before the January bombshell of the couple regarding their exit from seniority in the royal family. Now many are thinking if the interview was done so that they will be able to paint themselves in a good light. The authors are acknowledged cheerleaders of Meghan so one would expect that they will heap praises on her in the book. The question now is whether the rest of the royal family will be put in a bad light in the biography, which will be released in August of this year. It was supposed to be published by June, but the date was postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

This is not the first time that a royal family member was interviewed for a tell-all book. None other than Harry's mother, Diana Princess of Wales allowed herself to be interviewed by Andrew Morton where her struggles with the affair of her husband and Camilla Parker-Bowles were detailed.

It remains to be seen whether more dirty laundry will be aired as regards the royal family in the coming book. There were already some sources who have pointed out the strained relationship between Meghan and the other royals. There's the story of the Queen not wanting to lend Meghan the tiara she preferred for wedding and of course, there is the rumored rift between the couple and the Duke and Duchess of Kensington.
