Former President Barack Obama does not worry about his new book's sales as he focuses on enticing the youth in reading it via video sharing platform—TikTok.

Barack Obama participated in the Pass the Book challenge of TikTok

According to Hollywood Life, passing books to one after finishing it may hurt a lot when it comes to the sales. The 59-year-old politician-author does not see the case as a negative factor for his new book that comes in a memoir genre, entitled A Promised Land.

With that said, Barack wishes for more young people to read his book and also to pass a copy to their pals, family, and anyone. He made his wishes via an enticing TikTok challenge called Pass the Book, marking his debut in the in-demand social media platform on Nov. 20 (Friday).

Barack's first TikTok video was uploaded to a division of his memoir's publisher, Penguin Random House, on the account named Penguin Teen. The aim of Barack in encouraging young readers to grab and analyze his book is existent, considering his publisher uploaded the video on its account that is mostly followed by teens.

"This book expresses the incredible hope I have in you. Take this and pass it on," Barack said, kicking off his Pass the Book challenge video, and quoted by Harper's Bazaar. In celebration of his memoir's release, he handed his book to someone next off-screen, allowing users to do a duet with him, and carry on the chain.
