Miley Cyrus never fails to grab headlines, whether it is for her professional reasons or personal reasons. There has been a big rumor about how the songstress has invested outside the entertainment industry. Has the Wrecking Ball hitmaker invested millions in the pot business?

The songstress is all set for the release of her upcoming music album. However, that does not mean she is not under the spotlight for some other reason. A magazine quoted an anonymous source who claimed that she has been pumping in a lot of money into the pot sector.

The tabloid seemed to taunt the singer’s reputation for being high on drugs and argued that she has an addiction to the pot business. The magazine made some serious allegations about the kind of her pot investments.

It mentioned how the Midnight Sky musician was associated with the first weed-friendly eatery launch in California. For the universe, the songstress has invested in a cannabis-producing company called Lowell Farms that happens to be the original sponsor of the Cannabis Café.

The anonymous insider mentioned that by associating her name with the West Hollywood restaurant, the singer had turned the modest café into a major tourist attraction. The report appears to be incomplete for many reasons.

First, there was hardly any mention of the singer during the wide-spread coverage that preceded the grand opening of the Cannabis Café. Also, the tabloid has very little knowledge about celebrities, as well as their nature of businesses.

While the dubious tipster insisted that the Don’t Call Me Angel hitmaker is the major draw because of her investments in Lowell Farms, the café in question parted ways from this company soon after it was launched (via LA Magazine).

It has now been rebranded as Original Cannabis Café and featured in the list of the top dining places in Los Angeles (via Eater LA), but Miley Cyrus’s name was not mentioned anywhere.

Contrary to what the magazine hinted at, Cyrus has quit smoking and even told a magazine this June about being sober for several months. As the café in concern does not have any connection to her business or pot connection, the story has very little to offer.

The only truth is that the songstress has invested money in the pot business. Additionally, Cyrus is not the only celebrity who has invested in this sector and the industry is estimated to be worth $15 billion by the end of the year.

Apart from Miley Cyrus, other big names such as Whoopi Goldberg, Martha Stewart, and Melisa Etheridge have also invested in the pot business. The singer is not set to become a cannabis CEO. She is not even trying to channelize all her wealth to this sector, Gossip Cop reports.
