DaBaby's elder brother passed away at the age of 34. The rapper's older brother Glen Johnson was found suffering wound because of a gunshot as per multiple outlets. The 28-year-old rapper's family faced a tragic loss after Johnson died in their hometown of Charlotte, North Carolina.

As per TMZ, Johnson has a son and three daughters. The 34-year-old sibling was found fatally injured with an assault weapon. According to Eyewitness News 9 and Fox 46 reports, the sibling was killed by a shot in the parking lot at Mallard Creek Church Road on Berkeley Place Drive off.

However, the investigation has been started by the police officials. Although Complex claimed in their reports that it was a self-inflicted gunshot that caused the death. The incident took place after he shared a video of himself on Instagram in which he was clearly holding a gun while sitting in the car.

As per the last video, Johnson looked upset as he spoke about being "wronged" and cried. The father of four children was taken to the hospital after the gunshot wound, but unfortunately, he was declared dead. While the death investigation is going on, there is no revelation of any foul play involved in the incident yet.

The rapper addressed the loss in his Instagram bio and wrote, "Long Live My Brother." He also shared a picture of his elder brother without any caption and only emoji. The Oprah's Bank Account singer also posted a video on his Instagram story of him with his niece and captioned it "NIECEY POO."

In the video, the rapper looked at her niece and said, "I love you," to which the little one responded, "I love you too." DaBaby also shared his loss on Instagram stories through lyrics of his Kirk album's song, Intro.

"My brother be thinkin' that we don't love him and let him struggle like we aren’t family / Like I won't give up all I got to see you happy, n----," the rapper said in the lyrics. Furthermore, he captioned on his story that he would have given everything just to see his brother happy.

The Charlotte Mecklenburg Police Department and DaBaby's representative was reached for comments, which they haven't responded yet. On election day, the rapper was spending time at various polling booths to encourage the residents to exercise their right to vote. He also partnered with Lyft and promoted the app for voters to get free rides to the voting polls.
