Princess Diana’s former private secretary, Patrick Jephson, recently lambasted Prince Harry and Meghan Markle for continuously trying to chase the celebrity life.

Following the royal couple’s bombshell exit in January, Prince Harry and Markle said that they want to be able to lead normal and private lives with their 11-month-old son, Archie.

However, Jephson thinks that what the Duke and Duchess of Sussex have been doing since their Megxit has been the exact opposite. For instance, they recently made a public appearance in Los Angeles while delivering meals to those in need.

Prince Harry and Markle also released the text messages they sent to Thomas Markle Sr. in relation to their ongoing court case. The royal couple also sent out a letter cutting ties with four British publications.

During a recent interview, Jephson said that Prince Harry and Markle must surely sense how out of touch and borderline desperate they appear to the entire world. Unlike Prince William and Kate Middleton, who Jephson described as plain decent Cambridges, the Sussexes are still being criticized post-exit.

“They are currently in the audition of their lives, aspiring to be the toast of Hollywood. But they have chosen a pitiless spotlight – the here today, gone tomorrow favors of the world’s ruthless chattering class,” he said (via New Idea).

Jephson also predicted that Prince Harry and Markle will continue to provide ham-fisted paparazzi photo opportunities as they provide help to COVID-19 patients and their families.

Princess Diana’s former private secretary also said that Prince Harry should just return to the United Kingdom so that he could of help to more people during the coronavirus pandemic.

As of late, there hasn’t been any word from Prince Harry and Markle regarding their plans to return to London. However, a source previously revealed that the Duke of Sussex has been finding life overseas a bit challenging.

While speaking with Radio Times, Jane Goodall said that after talking to Prince Harry, she learned that his life has not been easy in the United States. Goodall also said that she has no idea how Prince Harry’s career will map out in the coming months.

Earlier this year, Prince Harry and Markle said that their main reason for leaving the United Kingdom is to protect their son, Archie.

The royal couple was also plagued with endless criticisms that’s why they decided to stay in Canada for a few months. Unfortunately, the criticisms didn’t end following their bombshell exit.
