The long-awaited Election Day is just around the corner. Both candidates President Donald Trump and Democratic nominee Joe Biden are leaving no stone unturned in their bid to convince American voters to vote for them. As part of this last-minute attempt to lure voters, the former vice president is slated to visit Ohio's battleground state on Monday, Nov. 2, his campaign confirmed.

Biden's campaign said the former veep would speak to voters in Cleveland about the crucial topic of the crises facing the United States and his attempt to win the presidential election for the soul of the nation during the event, which will be held in the afternoon. A USA Today/Suffolk poll released on Thursday shows Biden has a nation-wide lead of 8 percentage points. However, the race is relatively tighter in swing states he needs to win to reach 270 electoral votes.

A collection of polls by RealClearPolitics show Biden and Trump are level peggings in Ohio. Biden leads the POTUS by less than one-quarter of a percentage point, hinting at a must-watch race on Tuesday night. Ohio has been an important state in presidential elections, but it has leaned more towards Republicans recently.

Trump beat Hillary Clinton by over 8 percentage points in Ohio back in 2016, while former President Barack Obama won the state in 2008 and 2012, but by a slimmer marge of 4.6 percentage points and 3 percentage points, respectively. With 18 electoral votes available, Ohio is a crucial state for Trump.

The governor of Ohio, Mike DeWine, a Republican, said on Sunday that the president would secure the state on Tuesday but suggested the race between the two leaders will be nothing short of tight. During his appearance on CNN’s State of the Union, DeWine said he thinks Trump will win Ohio, but it will be a close vote, suggesting he might win by a couple of points.

Biden is scheduled to visit another state Trump won in 2016, Pennsylvania, on Monday in an attempt to rebuild the "blue wall." An average of The RealClearPolitics polls suggests Biden is leading with 4 percentage points in the state.

According to a new poll, Trump is trailing Biden in four key states, supported by voters who did not vote in the 2016 election and are now expected to participate in large numbers to cast their ballot on Nov. 3, mostly for the Democrats, The Indian Express reported.
