The hotly-anticipated US presidential election is just around the corner. With both the candidates leaving no stone unturned in an attempt to lure voters ahead of Election Day, Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden thinks President Donald Trump can end up winning the 2020 election because of how he plays.

Biden accused the president of trying to withdraw legitimate status from race's results by claiming voter's fraud is rampant without evidence. He touted himself as a competitor who doesn't assume it is over until the bell rings, adding that he feels superstitious when predicting anything aside from it being a hard fight between him and the president.

When making an appearance for an interview that aired on CBS' 60 Minutes over the weekend, Biden was asked if he thinks Trump could still win. Noting that his campaign feels good about where they are at the moment, the former vice president noted that he does not underestimate how Trump plays.

He suggested that Trump is trying to delegitimize the election, and those actions are sowing doubts in the minds of American voters and making them wonder whether or not they should vote, or if it is even worth going to vote. Biden said the president is cashing in on the intimidation factor.

Trump has repeatedly raised questions about the legitimacy of mail-in ballots and has made baseless claims about how they are cast and counted, CNN reported. However, Biden is pleased about the overwhelming turnouts in key states where early votings have been held.

The former veep's comments come as polls show him leading nation-wide, including nearly every swing state. Representing the Biden campaign's confidence, the Democratic nominee will also be visiting Georgia on Tuesday, while his running mate Senator Kamala Harris will visit Texas on Friday.

Although Biden doesn't need Georgia or Texas to cross the 270-vote threshold, his campaign believes that a late push could enable them to down-ballot Democrats in the Senate, House, and state legislative races. During the interview, Biden said he wants people to vote for him for who he is, adding that the contrast between him and Trump in terms of their value set and how they view the world is as stark as it can get.

Biden defended some of the policy proposals that have received criticism from Trump and Republicans, who accuse him of being too liberal. Biden has said Americans earning over $400,000 per year and companies should ensure that their income taxes increase, but explained that those earning less than $400,000 per year wouldn't end up paying a penny more under his proposal.
