Former business partner of Hunter Biden, Tony Bobulinski, revealed this week that the Democratic presidential nominee Joe Biden had participated in discussions revolving around business dealings that were carried out by his son. The former vice president, however, continues to deny these allegations.

The venture-related emails sent by Bobulinski were reviewed by Fox News, but there were no pieces of evidence hinting at Biden's involvement in business dealings with SinoHawk Holdings. Likewise, the emails do not show that the elder Biden accepted payments either from the company or the Chinese. The emails were originally published by The New York Post.

Despite the dearth of evidence showing Biden's involvement in the business dealings, these emails stir questions regarding his awareness about Hunter's business arrangements when he was serving as the Vice President. As expected, Trump cashed in on these unanswered questions during his campaign.

Bobulinski gave The Wall Street Journal text messages and emails about his venture. These text messages and emails were mainly exchanged during the spring and summer of 2017 but didn't show James or Hunter Biden talking about Joe Biden's role. People familiar with the matter told the Journal that the joint venture of Hunter and Jim Biden failed to receive funds from CEFC China Energy Co, of which Bobulinski was a partner.

Furthermore, the newspaper reviewed corporate records but did not find evidence of Joe Biden playing a role in the discussions Fox News acquired text messages from the former chief executive of SinoHawk Holdings, and a retired Navy lieutenant, Bobulinski, which he insists was a collaboration between the CEFC/Chairman Ye and the joint venture involving Hunter and Jim Biden.

Although the messages show a conversation revolving around a meeting that allegedly took place in May 2017, details about the meeting are still few and far between. The text messages suggest Hunter Biden and Bobulinski had a discussion about a meeting with the former veep.

In messages sent on May 2, 2017, Bobulinski asked Hunter if he wanted to documents to be translated into simple or traditional Chinese, as well as if he will do early dinner with his uncle and father, and where. The younger Biden replied, saying he wasn't sure about the dinner yet and advised to translate the documents into whatever is common for a Chinese legal DOC.

Another text message referenced "dad," probably Joe Biden. He wrote "dad" would not be available until 11, suggesting that he and Jim meet at Beverly Hilton at 10, where he was staying at the time. Other messages suggest that the meeting took place. However, the substance of the meeting isn't clear. Moreover, they aren't related to the laptop or hard drive allegedly belonging to Hunter.
