Mandy Moore reveals that when she first found out being pregnant, she shared the news with the creator of This Is Us, Dan Fogelman. The 36-year-old singer and actress said that she disclosed to the creators before her family members expected her first child with Taylor Goldsmith.

In an interview with ET, the multi-talented told through a virtual interview on Oct. 23 that she informed about the new member coming in her family to Fogelman before her family. She admitted being concerned about the writing of the upcoming season and wanted the 44-year-old television producer to know what should expect from her.

The actress disclosed that she was extremely nervous while breaking the news but it turned out to be the "loveliest" conversation she had with Fogelman. In fact, Chrissy Metz also got emotional after learning that Moore is pregnant. In an interview with People, the 40-year-old actress said she was extremely enlivened to find that Moore expects the first baby.

She further noted that Moore portrays Metz's mother's character on the show and they are friends in real life, which made it even more special for her. The actress also took Instagram to reveal that she expects a baby boy, who will soon join their family in early 2021.

Moore's breakthrough role was playing Rebecca Pearson's character, a mother of three on NBC and now, fans are expecting to get a real glimpse of the actress being pregnant on the show. However, it will be fun to watch how the creators portray Pearson's character on the show after a couple of months.

Although Fogelman revealed that the news of Moore being pregnant didn't change much on the season five plans. The creator said that he is happy for Moore and didn't have to make any major adjustments because of the news.

He further admitted working with Moore till her due date is close while he noted that there would be many challenges due to the ongoing pandemic in the production already and Moore's pregnancy won't be a big deal.

He explained that scripts are written way ahead of the time because they don't have to compensate much during the shoot. He also said that the show lives in several timelines, making it easier for the cast to work on the show despite such personal changes.
