Last year, a tabloid claimed that Blake Shelton got married to Gwen Stefani on the latter’s 50th birthday. Read on to know more about the story on whether the duo had a wedding ceremony or not.

About 365 days ago, a magazine contended that Shelton and Stefani exchanged their vows during one of their camping tours. The pop singer had turned 50 and the couple, allegedly, decided to get married to celebrate the occasion.

The tabloid purported that the pair went through a hush-hush ceremony in the forests. It was reported that God’s Country hitmaker was the one who planned this lovely surprise for his girlfriend.

However, contrary to this claim, the People magazine had reported that Stefani celebrated her 50th birthday with her three sons and her longtime boyfriend at home.

Nevertheless, the magazine insisted that the pop star’s close pals and family helped the country crooner to organize this sudden “fairy-tale” wedding. A source also mentioned that the duo had plans of organizing another function in Los Angeles.

It was also reported that the couple was expecting a baby daughter soon. First, had they got married, the news would have hardly been a secret. It would have been splashed on all major tabloids. There have been several wedding and baby stories about this couple in the past, which were all proved to be false.

Even Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani have slammed the rumors of them being married in the past. It was just recently when the No Doubt hitmaker revealed while chatting virtually to Extra TV that she thought it was endearing when many people called Shelton her spouse.

However, she quickly pointed out that they were yet to get married and were just girlfriend and boyfriend. Their fans indeed want to see them getting married, but Gossip Cop feels; the couple will gladly inform people when they decide to tie the knot.

Alternatively, the news will be published in all major newspapers. The magazine that published the news of them getting secretly married has come up with other ridiculous reports in the past.

For instance, last September, it alleged that the country music star proposed to Stefani who was expecting a baby, during the live recording of The Voice. However, neither was Stefani pregnant and nor did Shelton propose to her.

There was another incorrect report from the same tabloid, which contended that Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani were planning to quit Hollywood permanently and wanted to settle down in Oklahoma. The story was also dismissed because Stefani lives in LA though she is in quarantine with Shelton at present.
