New court documents are showing that Meghan admitted that her father was lying about working with a photographer to take pictures of him just before her wedding to Harry in 2018.

Relationships are never simple, even more so with family. Meghan Markle's relationship with her father is an example of this. According to the Daily Mail, Markle said her father was not truthful at all. But despite this, it looks like Meghan and Harry were will very much concerned about Thomas Markle. Both Harry and Meghan sent several messages to the elder Markle, inquiring about his health and even asking if they needed to send him security to ensure his safety, at the same time asking him not to talk to the press as it would only worsen the situation.

The text messages were revealed in court documents given to the Royal Courts of Justice in Meghan's case against the Associated Newspapers.

The couple has been living in LA since last month. They seem to be embracing their new life well. Although they kept to themselves in the first few weeks and was not photographed at all, they are now becoming more visible. Last week, they were photographed for the first time walking their dogs Oz, a Labrador, and Guy, Meghan's rescue beagle. Not only that, but they also took the time to volunteer for Project Angel Food, delivering meals to the vulnerable and sick.

Another thing Meghan did was to give her first interview since stepping down from her royal duties is to actually be interviewed by American media. She appeared in a prerecorded interview for 'Good Morning America' to promote the documentary 'Elephant' which is now streaming in Disney+. This was done before the couple sent a letter to some British tabloids, telling them that they will no longer be entertaining their journalists and will just send make a statement through their lawyers, but only if absolutely necessary. This decision was apparently not known by people from the Palace, not even his father Prince Charles.

This announcement did not go well with many people, as it seems to undermine the role of the media in a democracy. Nonetheless, it seems that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are only against the tabloids who seem to sensationalize simple aspects of their lives. When the couple and their son Archie made a video-call to the Queen to greet her on her birthday, their representative seemed to contact the media to inform them.
