Amid rising speculations that Kate Middleton may be pregnant, a number of hidden bits from her previous pregnancy periods have come to view. The Duchess of Cambridge is a mother to three young children – George, Charlotte, Louis. In the wake of her discussion on the podcast Happy Mum, Happy Baby, the spotlight has apparated over to her again in regards to pregnancy. The subject of the report is what may have led the Duchess to give birth to twins.

As per a recent analysis of her first-ever pregnancy with Prince George, Kate was thought to be pregnant with twins due to the complications in her health. Kate Middleton was hospitalized with severe morning sickness issues which also became the cause of breaking of the royal tradition that prefers royal ladies to give birth in royal premises. Women Suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum have to be provided with supplementary hydration and nutrients – so it got important for her to attend the hospital.

The Duchess was the second royal lady to be hospitalized during pregnancy following the footsteps of the Duchess of Wales, Princess Diana. Princess Diana had to be escorted to the hospital during her pregnancy with Prince William.

As per a report of pregnancy presented by ABC, the health conditions that Kate was going through are more common in women who are pregnant with twins. The organization Standford Children's Heath via its website says that severe morning sickness is the result of twin-pregnancy – and more common among women who suffer from migraines.

"Women with a family history of the condition or who had the condition in a past pregnancy are more likely to have it with future pregnancies," The organization also writes.

Going by what the Standford Children’s Health has to say, it’s possible that Kate may have a twin pregnancy in the future. In case, the Duchess gives birth to twins, spotting the heir to the royal throne may get a bit tricky.

The editor-in-chief of Majesty magazine, Ingrid Seward shed light on who could possibly be the heir to the royal title if Kate gives birth to twins. As per what Seward had to say, the child who appears first will be standing first in all the ceremonies and lined up before the second one for the royal coronation of any kind. Male or female, that doesn’t matter, the first one will get preference.
