The official website confirms the renewal of Rent-a-Girlfriend for another season. After the last season’s finale, fans eagerly await what is in store for the lead characters.

The makers also released a small teaser in which the lead characters announce the production of a new season. However, the official website did not reveal a release date for Rent-a-Girlfriend Season 2, Episode 1.

The finale episode opens with Chizuru sharing that it is time for her to move on and quit the rental business for good.

The scene shifts to Kazuya getting Ruka’s call for a date. Ruka is elated to meet him, however, he tells her that they met two days ago. Kazuya is also embarrassed to meet Ruka in a public.

Later, when they head to a clothing store, a lavender dress reminds him of Chizuru. However, Ruka gets sad when Kazuya talks about Chizuru. She tells him that it is okay and she knows that he still likes Chizuru.

She adds that she has realized that forcing her love on him isn’t going to cut it. She announces that she wants him to fall in love with her for real.

Meanwhile, Kazuya says to himself that Ruka is a cheerful, passionate and determined girl. She might be a bit possessive but that is something that should make any boyfriend happy. He wonders if she has a boyfriend.

Later, Kazuya wants to confess something to Ruka. He tells her that he wants to make it official. However, Chizuru overhears their conversation.

Meanwhile, Chizuru goes on a date with Asami. Chizuru asks Asami how long she has known about her rental gig.

Asami reveals that she found out when she was looking through rental girlfriends. She opens the app and is surprised to see that Chizuru is quite popular. Meanwhile, Kazuya is freaking out that Chizuru is hanging out with Asami. He fears that Chizuru might spill his secrets.
