A tabloid claimed that Nicole Kidman was upset as Princess Diana was besotted with her former husband Tom Cruise. Here is the complete story!

An outlet published a story last week that the Big Little Lies star was angry with the late Princess Diana. The publication purported that Kidman is a jealous woman who could not forget that the late princess thought that the Top Gun star looked dashing when they met in the premiere of Cruise’s 1992 film Far And Away. 

Diana’s infatuation for the Mission Impossible star was briefly mentioned in the book penned by Judy Wade titled Diana: An Intimate Portrait. It is interesting to note that the book was published in 2007. 

An unnamed source told the outlet that it explains why the Eyes Wide Shut actress refused roles where she was asked to portray the character of Diana. The source said that she was upset when Naomi Watts, her best friend played the role.

The insider added that the death of the princess and her divorce from the Hollywood heartthrob did not mellow down the actress. 

Nicole Kidman and her then-husband Tom Cruise both attended the funeral of Princess Diana, which took place in 1997. However, the unnamed tipster claimed that it was Cruise’s wish to attend the funeral. 

It seems the Bombshell actress is equally jealous of Keith Urban, her current husband. The publication contended the actress was keeping a close tab on the country crooner’s relationship with Jennifer Lopez. Lopez was a fellow judge with Urban on American Idol. 

Kidman, it seems, does not like even Pink much after the songstress, reportedly, flirted with her husband at the AMAs in 2017. The insider added that Urban usually develops close bonds with his creative associates and Pink is not an exception to the rule. 

The duo got along well while working on the project together and Urban just couldn’t stop gushing about her. The article portrays Kidman as a green-eyed monster while Gossip Cop claims that is not the case. 

First, the timelines are not quite matching up. The book mentioned in the report about Diana getting introduced to Cruise and liking his looks was published in 2007.

However, Kidman and Cruise had split way back in 2001. It also does not make sense for the actress to have a grudge against a dead lady for liking her former husband. It is quite obvious that she is happily married to her new husband. 

The publication has a habit of fabricating stories about Kidman. It was also mentioned that Pink saved Urban and Kidman’s marriage, New Idea reports. This does not sound right when there was a hint that Pink was the trouble maker in their marriage.

As of date, there is no proof to establish that Nicole Kidman held a grudge against Princess Diana for finding Tom Cruise good looking.
