Chadwick Boseman is known for his amazing physique, thanks to his role as the Black Panther in “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Infinity War.” However, that physique was nowhere to be seen in a recent post the Hollywood star made on his Instagram.

Metro reports that Boseman posted a video on his Instagram about Operation 42, which is an initiative that is providing personal protective equipment to hospitals serving African-American communities. Boseman is working together with billionaire Thomas Tull.

However, what got people’s attention was Boseman’s much slimmer physique, especially when compared to his superhero build in “Black Panther” and “Avengers: Infinity War.”

Insider notes that Boseman’s followers were shocked by his new appearance, with some asking if he was okay or if his new appearance was for a film role. Others wished for him to stay healthy and safe.

If the dramatic weight loss is indeed for a role, there are a number of them that Boseman could be doing it for. The star has a number of upcoming film roles. He is set to star in “Yasuke,” about the only known African Samurai, as well as “Da 5 Bloods,” which is a film by Spike Lee where he plays a Vietnam war veteran. He is also part of the television series “The Black Child” where he plays a slave.

Boseman’s Operation 42 initiative is also the latest effort by celebrities to help out in the fight against COVID-19. Taylor Swift, for instance, has been donating to Feeding America, as well as taking part in a concert special organized by Lady Gaga that will benefit the World Health Organization’s COVID-19 solitary fund.

Elton John has also raised $8 million for the First Responders Children’s Foundation and Feeding America through the concert special, “Living Room Concert for America,” which featured performances from Lady Gaga, Mariah Carey, H.E.R., Alicia Keys, and more.

Angelina Jolie has also found time to donate $1 million to the organization No Kid Hungry, which feeds children that are left hungry because of the school closures brought about by the coronavirus pandemic.

The help of celebrities might continue to be needed as coronavirus cases continue to rise around the world. The World Health Organization Apr. 16 situation report puts the total number of confirmed coronavirus infections around the world at 1,991,562 people, with the dead at 130,885.

Meanwhile, the Apr. 16 update from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention puts the number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in the United States at 632,548 people. COVID-19 deaths are now at 31,071 people.
