For a show, location matters as much as it’s actors or presenters. Especially in this pandemic-era, due to travel restrictions in place and personal worries, picking the best location may prove to be trickier than expected. This is exactly what happened with Ant and Dec from "I’m A Celebrity."

As per the duo, they wanted the show to take place close to their home.

Anthony McPartlin and Declan Donnelly have been based in the capital city of the United Kingdom, London for more than 20 years.  After the coronavirus pandemic put the plans of shooting in Australia under heavy doubts, the Geordie presenting duo, both 44, wished they could get close to their family and friends with the latest episodes turning the pandemic impact in their favor. And they did so. This time, for the very first time, the show will be shot in the United Kingdom.

"I'm a Celebrity...Get Me Out of Here!" is a long-running reality TV show that originated in the United Kingdom featuring a string of celebrities who try and struggle to survive in the hostile jungle environment for a predecided number of weeks. The cut-throat competition between the known faces is all to become the King or the Queen of the Jungle.

The series has Anthony and Declan as the presenters who are famously referred to as Ant and Dec. The series has come out in multiple international versions since it’s inception including the United States, Australia, India, France, and Germany versions, etc. The secret sauce of the show lies in the location – the weirder and the more dangerous, the better. The multitude of versions of the show has had some adventurous locations in the form of South Africa, Australia, and Malaysia, etc.

For the latest season of the UK version "I’m a Celebrity," the group is coming to the Gwrych Castle, Abergele, Wales, United Kingdom. It’s is so due to Ant and Dec’s wish to be close to their home.

During an appearance on "Steve and Karen’s Breakfast Show" on TFM, Ant expressed his excitement for the new and different season of I’m a Celebrity.

He said, "Everybody loves 'I’m a Celebrity' and we are used to it being one way and we are doing it a different way." The presenter added on to say - celebrities are all good, excited, prepared, and will be "up for it."

This time, it's the same old fan-favorite show in a different form.
