‘The Matrix’ trilogy has become one of the most favorite movies of all time. The science fiction series of the movie has solidified its status as a cult film and instantly became a legend for its futuristic approach in storytelling.

Fans have been rejoicing after it was announced that a fourth installment of the movie will be happening. Several of the stars from the original trilogy has signed a deal to star in the upcoming new ‘Matrix’ film, including the actor who played the main protagonist in the trilogy, Keanu Reeves.

Keanu attended a virtual interview with BBC One, where the actor explained a little bit of the plot of the new ‘Matrix.’ He was interviewed by host, Alex Jones via Link. Keanu Reeves who is filming currently in Berlin greeted the host, beaming and looking like he hadn’t aged a day.

Reeves proceeded to say that he was very thankful for the opportunity to play Neo again, the character’s name he played in the film. He then continued by praising the director of the Trilogy and the newest Matrix, Lana Wachowski, who also co-wrote the script for the new ‘Matrix.’

Keanu revealed that the new ‘Matrix’ is a love story, a call to wake up.

Previously in the last film of ‘The Matrix’ saga, Keanu Reeves character, Neo seemed like he won't be able to wake up again. Keanu commented on this, agreeing that he was indeed in a dire situation in the movie.

The filming of the new ‘Matrix’ began in San Fransisco, the production was under fire for damaging property during the filming.

The production was then halted after lockdown laws were imposed, making the movement for filming extremely limited.

It was announced last week that filming of ‘Matrix 4’ has resumed once again, this time filming was located in Berlin.

One of the original cast unfortunately could not return for his role in the ‘Matrix’. Actor Hugo Weaving who played Agent Smith in the film will not reprise his role in the new ‘Matrix’ after scheduling conflicts with his other projects.

The original ‘Matrix’ was supposed to star Will Smith as Neo, which the actor turned down and Val Kilmer to play as Morpheus. The roles ended on the lap of Keanu Reeves and Laurence Fishburne respectively.

‘The Matrix’ won four academy awards and was critically praised for its science fiction approach. This led to two other Matrix movies: Reloaded and Revolutions.

The release date for ‘Matrix 4’ is yet to be announced.
