Queen Elizabeth has received countless praises from the people that she has worked with both within and outside the royal family.

New Idea recently compiled some of the nicest things that have been said about the monarch. Last year, it was revealed that the queen undertook 295 royal engagements even though she’s already in her early 90s.

Her granddaughter-in-law, Kate Middleton couldn’t believe just how energetic Her Majesty still is. “I have no idea where she gets her energy from. To manage all of those elements of your life – from the family, to the work as well as to the national importance of her role – it’s extraordinary. And for so long too – I think it’s really incredible,” she gushed.

The future queen also revealed how thoughtful the queen is to her great-grandchildren. She, reportedly, leaves gifts for them whenever she comes for a visit.

Prince Harry has also said a slew of wonderful things about his grandmother. While the queen is related to Prince Harry, the latter said that he still views her as the monarch.

“I still view her more as the Queen than my grandmother. You have this huge amount of respect for your boss and I always view her as my boss, but occasionally as a grandmother,” he said.

Prince William also revealed that one of the things he has learned while growing up is to never mess with the queen.

When the monarch was much younger, she completed a mechanics course in the ATS. In a letter she wrote to a friend, she revealed that at the age of 19, she already trained as a driver and a mechanic.

“I’ve never worked so hard in my life before, as everything I learned was brand new to me – all the offices of a car and all the intricacies of map reading,” she wrote.

The queen’s former staff, Sir Kenneth Scott also praised Her Majesty for being a true professional.

“It was a great privilege to watch the Queen at work and to appreciate how dedicated and well organized she is, and how her long experience in the job has helped her to deal with every kind of situation with calm efficiency,” he said.

During her free time, the queen also loves throwing parties. She loves receiving guests and knows how to put people at ease. At Buckingham Palace, she stands at the top of the stairs, welcoming everyone. She is wonderful at mixing old and new friends.

The Queen loved dancing to her favorite tunes by Lester Lanin, whose orchestra played at some of her parties,” a source said.
