The new episode sees Tokyo completely covered in shadow. The darkness engulfs the metropolitan city in Digimon Adventure Episode 16. The episode is titled The Jet-black Shadow Invades Tokyo.

The makers released the official trailer previewing Digimon Adventure Episode 16.

“With creepy Digimon behind the scenes of Tokyo, Taichi’s team learns a shocking truth. Next time on Digimon Adventure: The Jet-black Shadow Invades Tokyo. The adventure continues to a new world,” reads the preview for the next episode.

Wikimon tweeted the synopsis for Digimon Adventure Episode 16. According to the summary, Taichi, Mimi and Koshiro head through a cave just before meeting up with Yamato and the others. As they come out, what they see is similar to the Tokyo landscape and they feel they are home.

Taichi and friends wonder if they are in their city. Later, they try to go back to their homes without knowing what is happening around them. They feel there is something wrong about the city.

In Digimon Adventure Episode 16, a Digimon named Eyesmon appears before Taichi and his friends. Eyesmon is known to have several eyes.

During the episode, Taichi and his comrades battle against Eyesmon. Meanwhile, Taichi and others need to uncover the truth hidden with the city that looks like Tokyo.

In the previous episode, Taichi notes that the rendezvous point with Yagami’s group isn’t far. But there is a big river and they cannot cross it. Gomamon informs them that it can help them.

Meanwhile, Joe feels Sora and Taichi are completely in charge of formulating strategies for the team. However, he gets a pep talk and feels he is a leader after all.

Later, a massive Digimon named Mammon attacks them. It is accompanied by Yukidarumon. Meanwhile, they somehow manage to get away from the attack but, a Yukidarumon attacks Piyomon. Sora tries to save it, but the Yukidarumon freezes one of Sora’s legs. Now she can't move. The teams need to come up with a plan soon to save her.

The cast members of Digimon Adventure anime include Yuko Sanpei as Taichi Yagami, Chika Sakamoto as Agumon, Daisuke Namikawa as Yamato Ishida, Mayumi Yamaguchi as Gabumon, Ryoko Shiraishi as Sora Takenouchi, Atori Shigematsu as Piyomon, Yumiko Kobayashi as Koshiro Izumi, Takahiro Sakurai as Tentomon, Marika Kono as Mimi Tachikawa, Kinoko Yamada as Palmon, Takeshi Kusao as Joe Kido and Junko Takeuchi as Gomamon.
