Captain Shinmon collapses in front of the Holy Sol Temple in Fire Force Season 2, Episode 12. The episode is titled Shadows Cast by Divine Light.

The official preview trailer for Fire Force Season 2, Episode has been released showcasing Joker getting shocked to see Captain Shinmon collapse.

“Captain Shinmon collapses before the Holy Sol Temple combatant. Joker is stunned by this. What they seek is an even deeper mystery within the Holy Sol Temple. I am not sure how I feel about this. I, too, love the darkness,” reads the text of the preview trailer.

In the last Fire Force Season 2 episode, the opening sequence introduces a man who appeared as the world was covered in ash. He is called Raffles and he embarks on a journey to find the light. At the end of his journey, he found an unsullied flame.

Raffles and his disciples used the flame by the Great Sol and using the technology created by mankind made Amaterasu.

Later, the sacred flame of Amaterasu benefitted the lives of mankind and established the foundation of a state in the far east.

Meanwhile, at the Company 8 Headquarters, the team presents the finding from the mission. They reveal they discovered a facility known as the Tabernacle that is similar to Amaterasu.

The report states that the power source was a person holding an Adolla Burst. Shinra states that the source of power for the empire’s Amaterasu can also be a person. It is likely the girl Shinra linked with at the 4th, whom they believe is the First Pillar. He drops another shocker when he claims that the scriptures are false. The head of Company 8 wonders if the scriptures are false, what is the next step for them.

Fire Force Season 2, Episode 12 is slated to hit the airwaves on Friday, Sept. 18, 2020. The episodes are currently streaming on Crunchyroll.
