Many shows are now coming to an end after the pandemic has hit many production companies, shows that have been in the air for quite a while are slowly being announced to end. This includes the TV series, ‘Lucifer’, the popular Netflix show is said to be coming to an end after its 6th season.

Right now, ‘Lucifer’ is in its 5th season, but due to the pandemic happening, the production of the 5th season was cut short.

The production team of ‘Lucifer’ has come up with a wise way to use their filmed footage for the 5th season, instead of releasing the 5th season of ‘Lucifer’ all at once, they have devised a way to divide the entirety of the season.

According to sources the first half of the 5th season is all ready and has a total of eight episodes. The other half of the 5th season, which has been dubbed as ‘5B’ is yet to be filmed.

The filming will resume once it is safe for the cast and the production team to mingle as the pandemic is still ongoing with lockdown rules being eased just recently.

The show is a live-action adaptation of DC comic character ‘Lucifer’ and it follows the story of Lucifer Morningstar (Tom Ellis) leaving the underworld to make Los Angeles his home.

He owns an exclusive night club in the city and soon became a consultant for the Los Angeles Police Department. He closely works with one of the female investigators, Chloe Decker (Lauren German) and ends up falling in love with her.

The plot for the 5th season as well as the 6th and last season of ‘Lucifer’ has yet to be revealed. Netflix is keeping a close watch on any spoiler of the popular show.

‘Lucifer’, which was first aired on FOX network but was going to be chopped earlier than expected but due to the amicable fans of the show, Netflix bought the rights of ‘Lucifer’ and the show continued to air in the streaming giant’s platform.

The season 6 of the show is said to be only eight episodes long, only half of the number of episodes in season 5. Netflix has not released a statement regarding the length of season 6.

The entirety of the show will round up to 91 episodes.

Fans of ‘Lucifer’ are extremely heartbroken as they fought for the series to be revived back when it was on the chopping board in FOX.
