Actress Drew Barrymore is all set to bring some insightful interviews in her upcoming talk show. The 45-year-old actress will be seen on daytime CBS's new show, The Drew Barrymore Show. The show is hotly anticipated by fans that will release on Sept. 14.

In an interview, the He's Just Not That into You star opened up about the show and revealed what all fans can contemplate. Barrymore admitted that being a celebrity herself, she will be avoiding all the mundane questions.

The actress said that she had experienced enough repetitive questions and she wants this talk show conversation to be different. "People are looking to have a different conversation. I think they are looking to if they are putting themselves out there, I assume, to reveal things about them that are not commonly known," Barrymore said.

She further said that it feels weird to her when people start their talk show and choose a host's chair but doesn't really understand anything about the celebrity. She explained that it seems such people get into the "wrong job".

However, the actress admitted that she isn't sure if her upcoming talk show will turn into reality amid the ongoing pandemic situation. The actress disclosed that initially she was all tears when the lockdown started due to the coronavirus and her show's production was put on a hold.

Barrymore said that she wasn't sure if it will ever happen and that made her realize that working towards something and not knowing to meet the goal is "OK". Although the actress said that she never considered her hard work as a "waste of time".

The star is optimistic that hard work pays off and comes handy later in life. The mother of two said that she is delighted to continue working on the show without knowing if it will ever air. The Golden Globe Award-winning actress said that it is a team effort that ensures that the show gets on-air successfully.

Besides her show, the actress also spoke about motherhood and how she balances her work and personal life. She considers her children as a priority compared to anything else. The actress shares her kids Olive, 7, and Frankie, 6 with ex-husband Will Kopelman.

Barrymore said her daughters matter more than anything in this world as she understood the purpose of her life after they were born. Although she agreed that it becomes difficult to balance everything.
