Pregnant American pop superstar Katy Perry, 35, released her newest song entry called 'What Makes A Woman' on Aug. 20 (Thursday). The mother-to-be donned a draping, purple polka dot dress as she sings the song heartfully. "She's always been a perfect mystery / Could spend your whole life, but you couldn't / Describe what makes a woman / And that's what makes a woman to me," Katy sings. The song went on with the singer cradling her almost popping out belly bump, as if like she's holding her unborn daughter's hand.

On July 28, the 'Never Really Over' singer opened up to SiriusXM during their virtual Celebrity Session about its uplifting message. As per the singer, her new song sings about the struggles and tough time because it makes a woman a woman, the added her explanation by saying, "women are so many things."

Her new song is the product of the overwhelming feeling she felt while carrying her first bundle of joy with fiancé Orlando Bloom. She said that despite experiencing the excitement for the first time, she immediately felt very empowered in nurturing her child while doing what she loves to do: music. Furthermore, Katy revealed to the radio station that 'What Makes A Woman' is a song that is somehow secretly dedicated to her unborn child.

In a Hollywood Life report, 'What Makes A Woman' hails as a pre-release track a week before Katy's long-awaited album release. This coming August 28, the 'Thinking of You' singer will make known her sixth studio album entitled 'Smile.' The initial release date is supposed to be on August 14 but was pushed back two weeks after. Moreover, Katy' Smile' album bottles up the singer's pre-released singles like 'Harleys In Hawaii,' 'Never Really Over,' 'Daisies,' and a lead single of the same name.

On the fan edition of 'Smile,' her 'Never Worn White' will be given prominence. She used the music video of the said record to spill the news of her pregnancy then followed by several music videos from her pre-released singles where she flaunted her baby bump.

Katy's forthcoming album follows her 2017 'Witness' album who was reported to be the singer's worst album in the span of her music career. Despite its success and recognition, 'Witness' is pointed out by critics as her least craft.

For the time being, her beloved KatyCats is all support to their idol's new chapter in life. Recently, Katy showed off her daughter's nursery room in her latest #SmileSUnday episode.
