All smiles, KatyCats!

Best known as Katy Perry, Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson made known her much-awaited music video for 'Smile' on one beautiful day of Aug. 14 (Friday). The music video's release comes after its initial premiere on Facebook the day before its official release. As per People, 'Smile' is the title track of Katy's forthcoming fifth studio album.

In the jolly music video, the 35-year-old singer transfigures into a female clown while playing a video game. The music video is mostly consisting of CGI as the pregnant singer plays with her character virtually overcoming multiple obstacles in the animated circus. Katy plays the said video game from her home. According to Billboard, the high-spirited music video is helmed by Matthew Cullen, who is also responsible for the film 'London Fields.'

"Yeah, I'm thankful / Scratch that, baby, I'm grateful / Gotta say it's really been a while / But now I got back that smile," part of the chorus sings.

The fun-filled music video's release is backed by the 'Never Really Over' singer's announcement on her official Instagram account. "The official video for #SMILE is out everywhere now!" she wrote in the caption. Katy included a poster of the music video on her Instagram post that introduces the characters' video game. The post concluded with Katy thanking American computer hardware company by Dell, Alien Ware, for the gaming gear she used for the music video. She then candidly added that she now finally has unlocked a new skill this quarantine.
