The prestigious Billboard Music Awards initially set to put on a grand show for April 29 but is now more than ever delayed because of the coronavirus. The Billboard organization has released the new date, which will be this coming October 14. Nevertheless, American singer and American Idol winner Kelly Clarkson is back as this year's show host, who's return in the Billboard stage was announced six months ago.

This year's awards show will be Clarkson's third consistent year as host in a Billboard news. Moreover, it is also her first time since she won the Daytime Emmy Award. Nearly two months ago, the 'My Life Would Suck Without You' singer bagged the excellence awards for outstanding entertainment talk show host for her 'The Kelly Clarkson Show's' first season.

Clarkson's statement on February 25, she said, "I'm thrilled to be back with my Billboard family." The singer expressed her joyous emotions during the first announcement that she will be hosting this year's BBMAs. She added that she loves being part of the event that commemorates today's most celebrated artists' crafts and to entertain the fans. "This a night of music that you won't want to miss!" she exclaimed.

As per Hollywood Reporter, Clarkson is the third artist to facilitate the BBMAs three or more times. Comedienne Kathy Griffin is the first artist to co-host the event for three years straight, starting from 1998 to 2000. American rapper and actor Ludacris hosted the 2014 installment and co-hosted for the following three years. Furthermore, the report finds that Clarkson is the best artist of her generation to host the forthcoming BBMAs ash. She knows the feeling of being nominated. She received five nominations in the span of her career, including the coveted artist of the year award in 2005.

As a successful artist, Clarkson hails numerous awards from various award-giving bodies. Some of her achievements are three MTV Video Music Awards, four American Music Awards, two Academy of Country Music Awards, one Country Music Association Award, and two Golden Raspberry Awards.

The American Idol alum is also a three-time Grammy Awards champion. She was the first singer to take home two awards for the best pop vocal album category with 'Stronger' and 'Breakaway.'
