Kingston Rossdale’s mother Gwen Stefani is dating Blake Shelton who is a country superstar. However, the youngster has admitted he detests country music and is disgusted with the genre. 

The 14-year-old was blunt even if his mom is dating one of the world’s most popular country stars. However, that does not necessarily mean he has to also love the genre. 

Kingston appeared on IG Live on Aug. 11 2020 and answered certain queries from his followers. A fan asked him during the session whether he listens to country music other than Shelton or not. 

The youngster said he does not listen to country music at all because he hates the genre. He even admitted to not hearing the name of Johnny Cash, a legend of country music. 

Kingston Rossdale went a step ahead and remarked that he finds the genre “disgusting” after his pal played one of the legend’s songs. Kingston did not utter a word on whether he was fond of his parents’ music or not. 

His 50-year-old mom Gwen Stefani is a big pop star, as well as, the lead singer of a pop band called No Doubt. On the other hand, Gavin Rossdale, his 54-year-old dad, is associated with a rock band called Bush. 

However, if people feel that Kingston Rossdale does not get along with Blake Shelton just because of his musical preferences, then they could be mistaken. The duo shares a fantastic relationship with each other.

Stefani and Shelton are in a relationship for five years now. The country singer has become almost like a step-father to Stefani’s three sons including Kingston during this period. 

He often takes the three boys out for fishing and boating excursions to Oklahoma and they appear to have a lot of fun together during these trips. The teenager turned 14 this May and his mom posted an endearing clip where Shelton is seen giving him a kiss and a big hug, Hollywood Life reports. 

Meanwhile, Stefani made an online appearance on Aug. 10 2020 on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show. She was seen chatting with Dua Lipa, the show’s guest host. 

The Physical hitmaker asked how the Rich Girl songstress spent her lockdown period in Oklahoma with her husband while chatting. The Hollaback Girl hitmaker corrected the host by mentioning that while Shelton was not her husband, it “sounded cool” when she said so. 

Dua Lipa realized her slip immediately and started laughing. However, the two superstars continued to chat like thorough professionals. Gwen Stefani later mentioned that she and her children were holed in Blake Shelton’s ranch when the lockdown started, E! Online reports.
