Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s living arrangements in the United States has been at the center of controversy since March.

Earlier this week, tabloids claimed that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex were asked to leave Tyler Perry’s Beverly Hills mansion are staying there for four months. However, more reputable sources said that this wasn’t the case.

According to People, Prince Harry and Markle left Perry’s property because they already purchased a house in Santa Barbara. In a statement to the publication, sources close to the couple said that they hope the public would respect their privacy and the privacy of their neighbors.

Daily Mail revealed that the Sussexes decided to buy their own house after living in LA for five months because Prince Harry didn’t really like Perry’s mansion. The publication said that the design of the $18 million property wasn’t Prince Harry’s style.

“They are not houseguests of Oprah or anyone else, they bought this home themselves. This is where they want to continue their lives after leaving the UK,” the source said. “This is the first home either of them has ever owned. It has been a very special time for them as a couple and as a family — to have complete privacy for six weeks since they moved in,” the source added.

The insider also said that Prince Harry and Markle intend to put down their roots in the Santa Barbara house and the quiet neighborhood. And they also want to raise their 1-year-old son, Archie to have a normal life as possible.

According to the source, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex researched the property and its area and location before buying the house. They also chose Santa Barbara because this is where they want Archie to start making friends.

Last month, tabloids claimed that Prince William and Kate Middleton were upset with Prince Harry after he stopped visiting Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis at home. However, the source said that before Prince William and Prince Harry’s feud, the latter wanted Archie to be best friends with his brother’s children.

Unfortunately, Archie, Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis will be raised far away from each other. And it is unclear when the cousins will be able to meet each other again.
