American songstress now turned makeup mogul Selena Gomez reunites with his brother in Disney’s “Wizards of Waverly Place” David Henrie for a tear-worthy film project.

Gomez, 28, and Henrie, 31, are both a product of Disney Channel, where they headlined the network’s most successful sitcom entitled “Wizards of Waverly Place.” The duo plays as siblings, Justin and Alex Russo, for full eight years before the enchanting series concluded. And now, Gomez and Henrie are reunited!

On August 9 (Sunday), the Disney alum actor made his fans and Gomez go crazy when he shared a video teaser that shows the actress. The video follows the strict social distancing protocol by having a grass wall to keep their distance. The two former Disney stars graced the same studio whose photos of the duo surfaced online, having the time of their lives with their long-awaited reunion. Henrie wrote a cryptic caption that reads, “Hmmm,” and tagging Gomez’s account. The video clip went on with the two stars pronouncing the word “hmm” to each other, leaving the fans baffled as to what their idols are up to.

What adds up to the fans’ confusion is a comment of their fellow “Wizards of Waverly Place” star Greg Sulkin, who played as Alex Russo’s boyfriend named Mason. Sulkin commented, “hmm,” hinting he knows what his fellow Disney alum is trying to hint, The Sun U.K. reported.

The “We Don’t Talk Anymore” singer immediately shared the same video clip on her Instagram Story, making the fans’ confusion grow even more.

Shortly after the duo’s teaser video clip, Gomez made known to the public what they had been in store for the fans for a long time. According to Billboard, the “A Year Without Rain” singer announced the virtual premiere of the forthcoming film entitled “This is the Year.” This time, Gomez and Henrie will not act upon as the film’s lead stars but as executive producers and directors.

Gomez and Henrie invite everyone of all ages to purchase a ticket for the “This is the Year” movie taking place on August 28 at precisely 7:30 P.M. The duo personally took their time to shoot a promotional video for the movie that answers the video snippet shared on August 10.

The virtual premiere will be facilitated by TikTok stars, namely Dixie D’Amelio and Charli. It will also feature an exclusive Q&A with Gomez and Henrie alongside the film’s cast ensemble. Also, lovelytheband will grace the premiere by performing live.

Tickets proceeds will go through Plus1 Organization’s COVID-19 relief fund. For tickets, click here.
