The late rapper, Juice WRLD, has busted its debut to the No. 1 spot on Billboard 200 albums chart. Also, Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die garnered a sale of 497,000 in the U.S. a week after its release, Billboard reported, referencing the data shared by Nielsen Music.

Per U.S.A Today, Juice WRLD’s Legends Never Die the most celebrated posthumous debut in over twenty-three years, following the late Notorious B.I.G. and Tupac.

Having all that said, Juice WRLD was hailed by Billboard as the ninth artist to top the Billboard 200 charts, both alive and after death. Besides, it is the most massive streaming within a week for this year and the fourth for the album.

However, this is not Juice WRLD’s first reign in the Billboard charts. In 2019, his Death Race for Love topped the charts on March 23, which sold over 165,000 copies.

As Juice WRLD is the ninth artist to top the Billboard 20 charts both when they were alive and after death, here is the full list of artists who have come before Juice WRLD:

John Lennon (1940 – 1980)

The rock icon had a massive nine No. 1 albums that came with four film soundtracks before he passed since Presley continued to top the Billboard 200 charts after he died for his Elv1s.

Ray Charles (1930 – 2004)

Charles’ 1962 album, Modern Sounds in Country and Western Music, has topped the No. 1 spot before his death. And one after he died on June 10.

Johnny Cash (1932 – 2003)

The Johnny Cash at San Quentin by Cash was his huge break when the album ranked first place in Billboard 200 in 1969, and when he passed in 2003, he reclaimed his throne through his American V album in 2006.

Michael Jackson (1958 – 2009)

The music icon and the kind of pop smashed the No. 1 spot of Billboard 200 for five times before his death. After he died in 2009, he is supposed to gain two posthumous No. 1 albums, but his catalog album Number Ones was not granted eligibility.
