Sarah Ferguson recently broke her silence on Princess Beatrice and Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi’s royal wedding last week.

On her Instagram account, Fergie uploaded a quote with a message of gratitude to all those who sent their well-wishes and messages of care to her eldest daughter.

The Duchess of York also praised Princess Beatrice and her younger sister, Princess Eugenie by calling them lovely. And Fergie also took the time to mention her sons-in-law, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi and Jack Brooksbank by calling them the best in-laws.

According to New Idea, Ferguson’s manner of celebrating Princess Beatrice’s royal wedding was very different from how she commemorated Princess Eugenie’s nuptials in 2018.

Back then, the doting mom posted a series of photos of Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank from their royal wedding at Windsor Castle.

However, it is important to note that the royal wedding from two years ago was much bigger than Princess Beatrice and Mozzi’s nuptials. In fact, Princess Eugenie’s wedding was televised but Princess Beatrice’s wasn’t.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank tied the knot before Prince Andrew was accused of sexually abusing minors. Back then, the Duke of York was still performing his duties as a senior working royal.

However, he decided to step back from his royal duties a few months ago because of the controversies that he’s involved in. As such, the Yorks, reportedly, felt the need to keep Princess Beatrice’s wedding as low-key as possible.

Meanwhile, Princess Beatrice also received a special title after she married Mozzi.

According to New Idea, she can now be referred to an Italian Contessa or Nobile Donna, which directly translates to a noblewoman.

Princess Beatrice could be given the special title because Mozzi’s father, Count Alessandro Mapelli Mozzi comes from a lineage of Italian aristocracy.

Before the royal wedding, Alessandro told DailyMail that his son is the only male descendant taking their family into the next generation.

“He is a count - his wife will be a countess automatically and any of their children will be counts or nobile donna,” he said.

This also means that Mozzi and Princess Beatrice’s future children will be in line to the British throne, as well as descend from Italian aristocracy.

Mozzi is also set to inherit his family’s residence, Villa Mapelli Mozzi in Casatenovo, Northern Italy. According to Hello! magazine, the property boasts 13 bedrooms and an outdoor swimming pool.

Princess Eugenie and Brooksbank, on the other hand, didn’t receive a special title after their royal wedding.
