Princess Beatrice recently released two photos from her secret wedding and they didn’t feature Prince Andrew and Sarah Ferguson.

While speaking with Express, former royal press secretary Dickie Arbiter said that Prince Andrew’s absence from the official photos may have been due to his downfall as a senior royal.

Arbiter said that a royal wedding is important for anyone so it’s tragic that the official photos only featured Princess Beatrice, Edoardo Mapelli Mozzi, Queen Elizabeth, and Prince Philip.

But Arbiter also said that it was expected that Prince Andrew won’t be featured in the official photos because of how far he has fallen. However, it is important to note that Prince Andrew and Ferguson might have still posed for a photograph with the newlyweds. However, the snaps weren’t just released to the public.

Prince Andrew took a step back from his royal duties after he was linked to Jeffrey Epstein’s sexual abuse scandal. The Duke of York denied his involvement in the matter but Virginia Roberts Giuffre claimed that she was intimate with the royal while was just a teenager.

Giuffre also said that she shared at least three intimate moments with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie’s father. However, Prince Andrew has vehemently denied the allegations.

Still, the accusations forced Prince Andrew to take a step back from his royal duties. And after his daughter’s engagement was announced, there were already predictions suggesting that he won’t be featured in the official photos.

Mozzi’s cousin once said, Dario Mapelli Mozzi, that they were told that the wedding will take place next year. However, it pushed through last Friday to make sure that the queen and Prince Philip will be there.

“Or perhaps because of the problems with her father they didn’t want to go overboard with publicity in case anyone criticized them. Probably they were right to have a private wedding,” Dario said.

According to New Idea, Princess Eugenie, Jack Brooksbank, and Edoardo’s son, Wolfie were also present at the wedding. Wolfie, reportedly, played the role of the best man at the nuptials.

In total, there were approximately 20 guests at the couple's wedding, which took place at Windsor Castle.
