Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s tell-all book has yet to be released but it is already suffering a huge blow.

According to New Idea, the price of Finding Freedom: Harry, Meghan, and the Making of a Modern Royal Family dropped considerably before its August 20 release date.

Finding Freedom is still currently on pre-order status. The price for the hardcover version of the book is $19.59. Weeks ago, the hardcover version of the book was priced at $27.99.

The Kindle edition for the tell-all book was also priced at $27.99 but it dropped to just $14.99. The Kindle edition will be available starting August 11. The paperback variant of Finding Harry is still priced at $29.99 on Amazon.

After Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand announced their book, it immediately becomes a bestseller on Amazon even though it hasn’t been released. A lot of people already pre-ordered the book. And those that did early on had to pay for its original price.

As of late, it is still unclear why the Sussexes decided to lower the price for their tell-all book. But the coronavirus pandemic could be one of the reasons. The entire world is struggling economically because of the deadly virus.

It is also possible that the royal couple decided to cut the price of their tell-all book due to competition. At least three other books about the royals are scheduled for release this year.

Royals at War: The Untold Story of Harry and Meghan’s Shocking Split with the House of Windsor is now available on Amazon. The book was written by Dylan Howard and Andy Tillett.

The original price of the book’s hardcover variant was $24.99, but it was also slashed to $20.19. The Kindle version is now at $16.99 but it was previously priced at $24.99.

Royal author Lady Colin Campbell will also release her book on Prince Harry and Markle on July 28. Meghan and Harry: The Real Story is priced at $21.01 for its hardcover variant. The price used to be at $27.95 on Amazon.

The Kindle edition for the book is priced at $14.99 but its original Kindle edition price was $27.95.

It is evident that the other books also saw a drop in their prices. And the prices for all three books are within range.
