Prince George’s godparent, Julia Samuel recently opened up about the hilarious present that she usually gives to the young royal.

During her interview on the How to Fail podcast, Princess Diana’s close friend said that she followed the tradition of giving members the royal family carefully thought out presents.

When Princess Diana was still alive, she allegedly had a knack for giving presents which take days to put together. And now, Samuel passed on the tradition with Prince George.

Since her present is usually very noisy and requires day to put together, Prince George asks Prince William for help.

“I come in slightly tipped by the size of the present that William then has to spend days putting together. And then put all the machinery together and it makes awful tooting noises and lights flashing and all of that,” she said.

Samuel said that this makes her and Prince George laugh. However, it is unclear if Prince William also joins in the laughter after spending days building his son’s gift.

Princess Diana’s good friend also described Prince William and Kate Middleton’s eldest child. She said that Prince George is amazing, funny, feisty, and cheeky. And if only the Princess of Wales was still alive, she would have loved her eldest grandchild so much.

Unfortunately, the mom of two passed away decades before her grandchildren were born so they never got to meet her. But the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge make it a point to talk about Princess Diana with their three kids.

During a previous interview, royal author Katie Nicholl said that Prince William is keeping his late mother’s memory alive by displaying photos of Princess Diana around their house.

He and his wife also share stories about how Princess Diana helped those in need. And they also tell Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis that they would’ve loved their grandmother if only they had the chance to meet her.

While speaking with OK! magazine, Nicholl also said that Prince William misses his mother. And his recent birthday must have been emotional for the dad of three because he’s unable to celebrate with Princess Diana.

Even though the late royal hasn’t been around for over two decades, she’s still a significant part of Prince William’s life. As such, his thoughts are with her on his birthday and every other day for that matter
